"Significance comes from seeing yourself the way God sees you!"

· Do you feel or have you ever felt unimportant?

· Do you ask yourself these questions - Will anybody ever love me? What's wrong with me?

· Do you believe that your life is completely insignificant?  or That it counts for something?

· Are you looking to "find" yourself?

The search for significance
is the search for meaning and worth as a person. For some people it is looking for their
place in life by investigating different types of possibilities hoping to find their "niche" in life. For some people it is a
process of "seeking out" situations and relationships where they can place themselves into a position of being "needed."
For some, usually those emotionally hurt, it a "rummaging around" in someone else's life trying to find some value by
appealing to others looking for acceptance and approval.

Matthew 10:29-31 reads - "Not even a sparrow, worth less than a penny, can fall to the ground without your Father
knowing it. And the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to Him than a
whole flock of sparrows."
(New Living Translation)

A person usually searches for some emotional and inner yearnings during certain stages (seasons) in life. For some it is
an unexplainable experience. From these emotional and inner life stages comes a desire for people to love him/her, a
desire for acceptance from others, and a striving for success to validate his/her existence.

When a person has a "needy" desire to be love and accepted it is usually a symptom of a deeper need controlled by an
emotional pain - a need for significance or self worth

In the book "The Search for Significance" by Robert McGhee the author says, "The man or woman who lives only
for the love and attention of others is never satisfied - at least, nor for long. Despite our efforts, we will never find
lasting, fulfilling peace if we have to continually prove ourselves to others (page 11 )."

Emotional pain and low self esteem can cause a person to have a fear of rejection or cause the person to feel like a
failure believing that he/she deserves the life problems encountered or experienced, it is his/her own fault that it
happened, and God is punishing him/her for sins - leaving the person confused and frustrated.

In the search for significance God makes the journey for the Believer an easy road to travel with the power of the Holy
Spirit. Psalm 139:1 reads, "0 Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. " And verse 13 reads,
"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb."

You are valuable to God - shortcomings and all -  insecurities and all. THANKS BE TO GOD for seeing you
differently than you see yourself. God sees you through the eyes of unconditional love and created purpose. You may be
seeing yourself through eyes that have spiritual and natural scales on them.

In the search for significance the journey begins with opening your heart and spirit for change. You must change the
way you see yourself and begin to see yourself the way God sees you. You must get an understanding biblically that
God made you in His Image.

Your significance was established in creation.

YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT TO GOD
God created us for a love relationship, with Him and with others. When a
desire to be loved becomes a "need" to be love, we are then trying to be
fulfilled outside of our created purpose.  Selah!
GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU!
